Child Safety Standards
SOMDA has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This page describes our standards, how to report a concern, and how we respond.
1. Zero tolerance
Any content, behavior or account that sexualizes, exploits, grooms or endangers minors is prohibited on SOMDA. This includes CSAM in any form (images, video, text, links or AI-generated material), solicitation of minors, and sharing or requesting such content. Violations result in immediate account termination.
2. How SOMDA works and who can use it
- SOMDA is an analytics and advisory companion for content creators. It reads metrics and comments from the creator’s own Instagram professional account, which the creator authorizes through Meta.
- SOMDA has no messaging between users, no public profiles, no user-to-user content sharing and no discovery of other people. Users cannot contact one another through SOMDA.
- SOMDA is intended for users 18 years of age or older. During the beta, accounts are created only by invitation from our team.
3. Prevention and moderation
- SOMDA never posts, comments or sends messages on behalf of users.
- Comments surfaced from a connected Instagram account are subject to Meta’s own policies and enforcement. If SOMDA’s systems or team detect content that may involve CSAE, we stop processing it, preserve what the law requires and report it as described below.
- AI-generated insights are produced only from the creator’s own account data and are restricted from producing sexual content involving minors.
4. Reporting a concern
Anyone, with or without a SOMDA account, can report suspected CSAE related to SOMDA by emailing admin@somda.live with the subject Child safety report. Signed-in users can also use the in-app support contact. Please do not attach or forward illegal images; describe what you saw and where (account, date, screen).
If a child is in immediate danger, contact local law enforcement first. In the United States you can also report to the NCMEC CyberTipline; elsewhere, use your national hotline (for example via INHOPE). In Brazil: SaferNet Denuncie or Disque 100.
5. How we respond
- Reports are reviewed with priority, normally within 24 hours.
- Accounts involved in CSAE are suspended immediately and permanently removed.
- Apparent CSAM is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to the relevant authorities, as required by 18 U.S.C. § 2258A and other applicable laws. We cooperate with law enforcement requests.
- We report the relevant content and account to Meta when it originates on Instagram.
